from the archives: the fire circle story

I posted the Fire Circle story in 2005 and recorded it in 2006. I still find myself coming back to it so I dug this up from the archives to share again. Enjoy!

a little time travel

Along the lines of not finding something new here, you may also want to use that opportunity to dive into the archives. Unlike some other sites, this one has posts that go back to 2004. So pick a day, yes event he day you visit and go back into time. Do a little time travel.

From the archives

No special message to start with today, so I'll dig into the archives to find out what has been published on this date in prior years here.

this day in 2010 was skipped

this day was also skipped in 2008

this day was skipped in 2005

This blog was born in September of 2004 so there was nothing for January of that year.

Into the archives

Digging into the archives, let's see what the past has for us.

2009
http://steves2cents.blogspot.com/2009/11/laidoff-camp-attleboroprovidence-event.html

Hard to believe, it was a year ago that we were planning for LaidOff Camp and ended up canceling it. We have since been successful with two Job Search Jam Sessions!

2008
http://steves2cents.blogspot.com/2008/11/persuasive-leaders.html

Two years ago, a posting on persuasive leaders!

2007
http://steves2cents.blogspot.com/2007/11/hot-stove-planning-board.html

Yes, those were the early days of reporting in Franklin before Franklin Matters was created.

2006
http://steves2cents.blogspot.com/2006/11/revs-1-0-winners.html

And yes, the Revolution won the Conference Championship. Unfortunately, they are out this time around. Just this week Taylor Twellman made his decision to retire. As much as I would love to see him play again, taking a chance with the concussions he has had is not worth it! Soccer is only a game.

2005
http://steves2cents.blogspot.com/2005/11/book-reviews.html

My book reviews were put into a collection posting. I guess I haven't done a review in a while. Will need to fix that!

2004
http://steves2cents.blogspot.com/2004/11/authentic-communication.html

Almost as far back as I go on the web. Prior to this my writing was in my journals.

What do you have in your archives to share?

Digging into the archives

One year ago, June 6, 2008 the dogwood blooms were weighted down with rain

In 2007, I didn't post on the 6th skipping from the 5th to the 7th.

June 6, 2006 was a special day, 06-06-06 and it all started here

June 6, 2005 was a Monday and I posted an update on the books I was reading.

And that is as far back as I go for June as this writing effort began in September of 2004.

What do you have in your archives (whether online or perhaps a dusty pile)?

From the archives

Stepping into the archives, I find that one year ago

Franklin Buffet was announced as not to be re-opened

two years ago

A delightful summer weekend in Falmouth at the Palmer House Inn

three years ago

Hurricane Irene was headed our way

four years ago, I was preparing to open this blog.
The first post came on September 15, 2004.

Morning sunshine - redux

Dipping into the archives from 2 years ago, you can view this morning scene

What is it like for your morning today?

What were you doing a year ago? or two?

A year ago, I visited Dolores' kindergarten classroom for their annual show. You can see the pictures and read the recap here.

Two years ago, May 14th was Mother's Day.

Three years ago, I posted my recap of Jimmy Wales presentation at GEL 2005.

This year, I went deep into the archives because a good deal of my time is being spent recording and posting the local Town Council, School Committee, and Finance Committee meetings as Franklin prepares for an override vote on June 10th. You can keep up with this activity at Franklin Matters.

What were you doing last year?
