Thank you Franklin!
Just curious, what were the vote totals from the previous override elections? What made the difference? And what is the demographic make-up of Precint #3?
ReplyDeleteI am very happy that my daughter who in entering kindegarten this upcoming September will now be in a class of 20 rather than 27.
It is indeed a good thing that the override passed, had it not, it would have been a dark day for Franklin.
ReplyDeletePrecinct 3 is one of the older sections of the central downtown area and heavily elderly.
As for previous results, the Country Gazette had a good table last week but I did not find that in their online version. The best info I know of was found on the School Committee blog here:

My wife teaches kindergarten and she would agree that 20 will be better than 27 in September!
