Why do we kiss? (video)
Serendipity can be a wonderful thing. I happened up this one as I cruised a bit after a Ze Frank episode. Kissing, I'll admit, is something I enjoy. Learning as much more about kissing, attachment and uncertainty in the dozen minutes it took to watch this.

Ze Frank has some great advice on the creative career. You are creative, right. Whether you like it or not, you need to be in order to be successful. So you are in the right place. Spend a few minutes with Ze
Now go do it, or continue to do it! Either way, do it!

soccer in the rain
Soccer in the rain can be fun, especially when you team plays well and wins 2-0!
For good stretches of the game, they play the triangle passing game to keep possession. About time! Yea, Revs!

rhododendron in the rain
There is a rainy start to the weekend here in Franklin. Not much of matter to me, I have plenty to do inside and I am glad that at least the lawn got cut on Thursday when it was dry.

Where does time go?
The long weekend is almost upon us. It is Comedy Week on YouTube and this is the only one I have caught but it is another good situation from ImprovEverywhere.
Enjoy!

Privacy policy updated on LinkedIn
The short video highlights the approach
The details can be reviewed here

One of the common questions during any session discussing LinkedIn is what to share and how to change your settings. These questions will likely be addressed in one or more sessions at the next Job Search Jam Sessions event scheduled for June 14, 2013

Do you want to get a better LinkedIn photo?
William Lam will set up his camera and equipment in one of the rooms at the Job Search Jam Sessions June 14. Attendees who want their photo taken should wear professional attire, and a flash drive or some media that can accept images.
Most importantly, you'll need to bring your positive attitude with a glowing facial expression!
William will take about 4 to 6 photos and allow you to view them on his laptop. The file size will be around 2 meg, rather large but these files can be adjusted to fit LinkedIn and other social media sites if you choose.
For more information and to register for this event visit

Chicago birdsongs - May 5th - (audio)
Recorded on the shores of Lake Michigan while on the morning run through Grant Park in Chicago.
I was standing at the Buckingham Fountain when I stopped to record this morning.
The view around me - part 1 - Turning to the right of the fountain
part 2 - Turing back and then to the left of the fountain
part 3 - Turning directly to the east to face the rising sun would not have produced a picture worthy of sharing so I resumed running and found this line of trees worthy of stopping for
My favorite place is 'the bean' or officially called 'Cloud Gate'
Each time I come to SOBCon, I try to make a visit to cloud gate. It helps me focus and put things into perspective. We are so small in this big world.
What is SOBCon and why do I go? The answers can be found in this post that was a collaboration with my good friend Phil Gerbyshak http://www.sobevent.com/what-makes-shersteve-come-back-to-sobcon-over-and-over/

Send BMAC down under!
G’day! I’m Brittany MacLeod, but my mates call me BMAC. I’m an electrically enthusiastic sheila who squeezes the most out of every day. I’m always down for an adventure and to explore. I’m the furthest thing from shy and love meeting new people. Variety is the spice of life, which is why I’m applying for the best job in the world!
The 30 second entry video for this contest wasn’t enough time for me to express just how fun and qualified I am to be Chief Funster, so I decided to create a social media campaign [leading up to the day they announce the final contestants] further convincing why Australia should pick me for the best job in the world! If you don't already know Brittany, you can quickly find out a lot about her with this campaign for the 'best job in the world.'
I remember Brittany as she was the FHS Student representative to the School Committee for a couple of years. This was in the time where my schedule allowed me to report from more of those meetings than I have been able to recently. She was always a bundle of energy.
So what is one lesson to take away from this? For those in the job market, this is a good example of what it can take to get what you want. That BMAC, an FHS graduate, is now one of the top 25 out of thousands of applications from around the world for a position in Australia is significant.
Will this kind of social media campaign work for every job applicant? No, but consider what you can do for your job search circumstances. This topic will be one of those on the agenda for discussion at the Job search Jam Sessions coming up on June 14th.
