Good morning, time for #the5.

Yes, there is time this morning. I have struggled with the new routine. New? Sorta. The contract role shifting to the full time role does have different responsibilities, different time commitments. The weather and other daily life factors require juggling on a regular basis so what has fallen out from time to time this week has been writing here. Hopefully, I'll get into a smooth rhythm and not skip a day (or two)!

Found I hadn't caught up to Patti Digh recently and also found she has a couple of new writing adventures underway. The "Becoming Bendy" is a simple exploration in becoming more healthy via exercise and better food. She caught me for sure with the line quoted above where she has another blog sharing three pictures from three people daily. Very nice!

This is a great example of one of the hidden or not so obvious uses for LinkedIn, especially relevant for those looking to change careers. How do you change? What does the career change path look like? Since most folks on LinkedIn have included at least three prior positions (to get the 100% complete profile), you can look for the position where you want to be. Search for it, then look into some of the folk who hold that position now and see how they got there. The mileage may vary but the information on how they got where they did is open. PodCamp Western Mass - recap

I spent the day at PodCamp WesternMA on Saturday. Allie and I headed out to Westfield, MA early Saturday morning to arrive in time to set up and greet folks at the Welcome/Registration Desk.

Over 100 folks checked in for a good time, learning and sharing information, the tips and tricks of social media tools.

3 of the 4 scholarships offered for job seekers to attend were utilized. The fourth went unused.

I created the Twitter listing for the group and shared my presentation about LinkedIn here already.

I'll come back with some more thoughts about the learnings of the day later.
