Longfellow House

After lunch with Kirsten on Monday, I walked a few blocks to the Henry Wadsworth Longfellow National Historic Site.

The sun was shining. The grass was green. A light breeze was keeping the oppressiveness of the heat away.

Alas, the Visitor's Center is closed on Monday and Tuesday.

I was able to view the grounds, the formal garden and this wonderful grapevine growing next to the carriage house.

No need to whine about it. I moved on.
I'll find sometime to return when it is open.
