While there were a number of highlights during the course of the historical inauguration of President Barack Obama yesterday, perhaps the defining moment for me was in the Greater Boston broadcast Tuesday evening. Emily Rooney had taped interviews with four supporters. In the segment, Carol Fulp tells of the saying:
"Rosa sat so Martin could walk
Martin walked so Barack could run
Barack ran so all, all our children could fly"
Historical perspective summarized simply.
