Puerto Rican Music and Dance – Los Pleneros de la 21, based in New York City, is the foremost practitioner of the Puerto Rican musical genres of bomba y plena in the continental United States. Under the direction of National Endowment for the Arts’ National Heritage Fellow Juan Gutiérrez, Los Pleneros brings its exhilarating performances to audiences in their New York community and around the world.They opened the Saturday session playing good music and dancing well in the hot sun.
