Yes, I completed Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows this evening. During the couple of days, I read on the train, the trip to and from Boston seemed to go quicker. Must have been the magical goodness I was in the midst of.

More to come on the completion, the story, and the look back on the 10 year experience of reading about Harry.

Stay tuned. I feel some writing coming.

Molly Wade - National Anthem @ NE Revolution

Molly Wade, announced as from Franklin, sang the National Anthem at the New England Revolution vs. Kansas City Wizards MLS soccer game Thursday night.

The Revs won a well played game 2-0!

Franklin (Chinese) Buffet Shut Down by Fire Dept

Driving by the Franklin (Chinese) Buffet on Rt 140, I was surprised to see it not busy. Going by another time, the signs were still as if it were open but there was an orange notice on the front door so it looked like it had been shut down by someone.

The Country Gazette solves the riddle with this article indicating that the Fire Dept. shut them down after finding the sprinklers and alarm system turned off.

Utility pole - short cuts

Recall that I wrote and posted pictures about the utility pole "short cuts" that were being taken as the construction progressed along Union back in September 2006.

Today the Boston Globe has an article on the growing inventory of such poles in communities around the commonwealth. (free registration maybe required)
