stitch in time

Among the tasks accomplished on Sunday was a few stitches taken to mend some holes in the toes of my socks.



They were not exactly 'in time' as the hole had already appeared but hopefully, I patched them enough to give them new life.

Why is it that holes appear in the toes anyway?

The rest of the sock is perfectly fine! What gives?

Rather than worry about how and why, I took up the needle and thread to stitch it together.
