Tertiary education: learning is priceless

Have you seen the new MasterCard commercial? The one with schoolboys and their backpacks?
  • The first one does a Michael Jackson dance, voice over says something like: backpack x dollars.
  • Second one comes in and joins the dance; voice over says something: dancing shoes x dollars.
  • Third one comes in to join the dance; voice over says something like: finding someone you can be bad with, priceless.
Very well done!

Finding folks with whom you share common interests and goals is greatly enabled with the internet and Web 2.0 type applications. Amongst LinkedIn, Facebook, MySpace and a host of other tools, with very little effort one should be able to find where you'd you like.

Groucho Marx who was reported to have said:
"I wouldn't join any group that would have me for a member".
Today, I think most folks would prefer to join a group where they would be comfortable.

I helped to create the Joyful Jubilant Learning group. We are having a good time exploring new thoughts and new ways of collaboration in a virtual world. This September we are participating in a virtual Learning Forum. Click on over. Explore new ways to "Make a Difference".
