I used to work from the Tavern since the beginning and he never paid anyone what they owed us. He stole the menu from the previous cook he hired but never paid him nor did he pay the people who painted all the murals, or the woman he hired as manager to hire all his waitstaff. He is a real snake.

Place is a dump with underage drinkers. Should be closed down!

Thank god they closed this rat hole down. I saw my best friend get bitch slapped from the Franklin PD. All he did was drink a beer after 1:30 am. Big deal, we did that all of the time at this rat hole.

ps. where do I get my coke now!!

  4. Hmm, sorry to hear about that. We had been for dinner a few times, generally earlier in the evening and it was okay. Food was standard fare, served hot and reasonably priced. Not a place to go out of you way for, but not a bad place for dinner at least.

We'll see what happens on the ownership front now that the license is tied up with the prior operator.

I worked there as well from the beginning to the end, and i have to say that it was a blast. at the beginning it was great, we had fun, worked hard, there was a lot of business and things were great but not out of hand. It was amazing and devestating for me to see how the business and atmosphere at the restaurant changed over time. I couldn't believe it, my father told me the whole thing would happen. I was in there before it was done, and my father told me that the place was going to shut down.
I still dont know what steves real intentions are. I can pin him as a completely bad person, because i know at times he had the best of intentions. I just think he didn't really think about what he was doing, and that he has no clue how to run a business.
Yes, I was one of the people who didn't get paid, and he owes me a shit ton of money that i can't even prove. But if i had a choice i would never think twice about doing all of that agian. I met so many great people there (and i met so many people that i just wanted to throw out of the building), and i learned a lot about myself and other people while i was there.
So yes, thank god it got shut down while it did because frankly i needed to go somewhere with more money for me, and someplace where i am safe. And yea, i sure as hell would yell at steve if i could and tell him how fucking stupid he is but i'm sure he already knows. But would i trade everything i gained from that place for the world? Never in a million years.

I worked here the whole time as well. I agree with the comment before me in the fact that the staff were good people and I was glad to know them. I knew what Steve was pretty much the whole time and he does as well, so enough said. He's the one who has to rebuild credit and sleep at night.

As for this litle asshole with the coke remark...just because you and a handful of your sideways-hat wearing punk friends did blow off the back of a toilet doesn't mean the staff didn't do their best to run a proffessional and clean establishment. It was you and your kind that made Franklins, Coles and any other bar in your town a "rathole"!

I'm just glad I work in a town now that doesn't have the punks that Franklin does.

    Question for Franklin's town administration.
    Why was the permits
issued for the tavern to open?
    Perhaps; take the suckers cash.
Fact: Harron's bad decisions and behavior is only matched by the town of franklin's, particularly it's completely unprofessional police department.

  8. Anonymous, in answer to your question as to why the permits were re-issued; the town was in proceedings against the operator. Those proceedings were interrupted by the operator's bankruptcy filing. The bankruptcy court currently holds the permits and will come back before the town when they have a suitable buyer.

Bottom line, that they were re-issued was relatively a moot point. They were not re-issued to the prior owner. They can't be used until the bankruptcy court and new owner come before the town.
